Venus was not hitting cleanly at all. She was trying too hard to overpower Tatiana...which resulted in her hitting every part of the strings but the center.

She played outstandingly. Petrova came out ready to play and focused, and probably would have gotten an early lead against most players on the tour, however Golovin was playing even better. Very few errors from her, even in the tight situations.

I didn't get to see the final but that very convincing. Her match against Ana was very tight. Great playing by all 3 women
