Another RacquetIf you were to buy another racquet from another company, what would it be?
Please post your current racquet, and the one you would like to have from the other company

i currently have the nProSurge, and i might be getting either the nProOpenX or nSix-Two soon......i would be happy to try the 03 blue....

If I couldn't use my beloved Prestige, I would use the Prince Diablo or the Prince NXG....
PSALT
03 Hybrid Hornet
this topic is like wanting me to choose if I wanted to die by shooting or getting mauled by a bull.....
probably the Prestige
Benchwarmer1
I use a LM instinct
I would switch to either the o3 white, or the nPro Open X

I hate the 03 White. why do you like it?
Benchwarmer1
stats are almost identical to the LM instinct
PSALT

| Benchwarmer1 wrote: | | stats are almost identical to the LM instinct |
it has much less feel than the instinct though. it has a built in dampener and you can feel NOTHING when you hit the ball.
J-man
I use the Liquidmetal Radical. And if I could switch to a different racket I would switch to maybe Yonex or Volkl dnx9

whoops, i didn't know that, i would probably try the Tecnifibre TFeel 305
x.doublea
How about something like a Prince More Attack? (the one Rafter used)
Benchwarmer1
| J-man wrote: | | I use the Liquidmetal Radical. And if I could switch to a different racket I would switch to maybe Yonex or Volkl dnx9 |
so which yonex would you use?
x.doublea
He would probably use the RDX 300 or the RDS 300.
J-man
Yes the RDX 300 (9 or the RDS 001
Benchwarmer1
how did you get the picture there?
J-man
Well for you signiture it's alittle different from posting your picture. First I uploaded my picture to Photobucket. Under your photo it will say IMG. I copyed that and then posted it to your signiture box in the Profile. Just be sure your pictures aren't to big or Percy will tell you to make it smaller.
Benchwarmer1
what if it is not tennis oriented?
J-man
I have no idea. You can ask Percy
Benchwarmer1
i guess, i'll just try it
Benchwarmer1
i guess it worked, is it too big?

J-man

No looks great

I like that you're endorsing HEAD.....

Do you need to use photobucket in order for this to work?
J-man
I do. But I'm sure you can use other photo websites like photobucket

I'll always be stubborn about that....

so am I!!!
.....oh yeah, BTW i like your sig!

Thanks, I did get a photobucket account, so it made everything easy...but I know that, if you want to get a signature, all you need to do get any image address and put the img tags around it....
Benchwarmer1
what is the difference between the FXP Radical and FXP Radical Tour?
x.doublea
The Radical tour is 0.8 ounces heavier than the Radical, and comes in only one head size (100), while the Radical comes with two (98 and 107). As well, the Radical tour is the first Radical ever to have an open string pattern (16 x 19).
Benchwarmer1
if you were to choose one, which would you take?
x.doublea
Probably the Radical OS, actually....
Benchwarmer1
why the OS?
x.doublea
Well, I played with both the MP and the OS before (LM Radical) and I enjoyed the OS more- higher swing weight (I feel) and it just feels better overall....
Benchwarmer1
with some added power and a larger sweet spot right?
x.doublea
Well, that didn't really matter, but I felt the feel on the OS was better too....
Benchwarmer1
well you use the prestige now, what head size do you use?
x.doublea
The MID size, 93 square inches.
Benchwarmer1
it is control orieted right?
x.doublea
Well, it depends, because the sweetspot is actually smaller, and it's easier to mishit...I find it has ultimate feel, balance, and (yes), it's so controlled....
Benchwarmer1
what line of racquets do you think is the most control oriented EVER!!!?
x.doublea
I'm not sure, because most lines come out with such a wide variety of racquets for different styles...but here's a list of some of the most demanding racquets:
The Prestiges (HEAD)- especially the original
ProStaff Original 85 (Wilson)
nCode six-One Tour 90 (Wilson)
Original MidPlus 93 (Prince)
...
Benchwarmer1
cool, what ,in your opinion, is the greatest tweener?
x.doublea
Um...I'm not sure...probably the Babolat Pure Drive, simply because everyone uses it....
Benchwarmer1
INSTINCT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
x.doublea
It might be the best, but I'm not sure it's the greatest, because it's relatively unkown....

the Prince 03 Blue is a good tweener.
Benchwarmer1
there is like no one that uses it, whenever i go to a court, everyone has a PD and i am always the only one that uses it where i go more ppl should use it!!!!!!!!mmm...kay
x.doublea
Yes, partly because 'Andy Roddick' uses it....
Benchwarmer1
oh yeah, my friend brought his racquet to career day! it was pretty cool
x.doublea
Which racquet was it?
Benchwarmer1
aeropro drive he's sponsored by babolat
x.doublea
Oh, the Nadal racquet....

that is probably the 03 racquet that i want to try the most, but i havent had the chance to go to a pro shop with prince racquets lately.....

it's great! I loved it, the only problem is it one of the more expensive ($200+) Prince racquets
Benchwarmer1
psalt, leftys; judging by the stats of the o3 spectrum, would you try it?
leftys_rock
i need to check the stats out, does anybody have a link?

here it is

seems interesting, i may want to give it a try....i like the enhanced spins on the serve.....i would rather have the midplus than the oversize....
Benchwarmer1
it is kinda like the o3 blue....
x.doublea
It looks really huge, though....
Benchwarmer1
yeah it does, leftys should use a head
x.doublea
I don't think she could find a racquet which suits her....
Benchwarmer1
she likes tweeners so she could go with the FXP 4 or 6
x.doublea
Um, I think that would be too powerful, considering she uses the nPro. Perhaps the FXP Heat?
http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/descpageRCHEAD-FXPH.html
Benchwarmer1
makes sense, but she wants to try the o3 ble which has a medium-high power level
x.doublea
Yes...I would have recommened her the O3 White or the Shark...
PSALT
I am quite excited to try the 03 Spectrum. I will give you a review after I demo it in the summer.
PSALT
| x.doublea wrote: | | Yes...I would have recommened her the O3 White or the Shark... |
no. based on what she has said Leftys is a player that likes to mix it up and slice the ball alot, both the Shark and the 03 White would be horrible for that. they are exclusively ball bangers racquets, a much better choice would be the 03 Hybrid Hornet, 03 Tour, the 03 Blue, or the 03 Red. neither the Shark or the 03W have any feel. they are absolutely dead.
x.doublea
That's why, you pick a HEAD racquet... Yes, in terms of the Prince racquets, I guess you would be right.
leftys_rock
i tried the nSix-Two again recently, and it mixes things up pretty well...the nProOpenX hits with A LOT of topspin, which i like, but isn't very good at backspins...and it doesnt work the best at net.....but i would like to try the 03s you mentioned.....and about head, i have tried quite a few head racquets, but i just cant find one that fits me.....
Benchwarmer1
which ones have you tried leftys?
leftys_rock
flexipoint prestige, flexipoint radical, liquidmetal prestige, liquidmetal radical, FXP radical, flexipoint instinct, liquidmetal instinct, and flexipoint radical tour.....
Benchwarmer1
next time try the Flexpoint Heat
leftys_rock
looks interesting, i may want to give it a try when i find a pro shop with head.....seems a bit like the nSix-Two.....
Benchwarmer1
try it out, you might like it
PSALT
*coughcoughHeadpropagandacoughcough*
Benchwarmer and Doublea need to start H.A.A. like A.A for Head addicts
leftys_rock
im pretty much an all racquet person, but out of my past experiences and what i am exposed to, i prefer wilsons....
Benchwarmer1
then stick with it and try a wilson racquet or more
leftys_rock
for me, the fun part about practicing is trying different racquets.....so i always take like 7 demos on court if im allowed to....
Benchwarmer1
so you normally take 7?
leftys_rock
ok, that was a bit of an exaggeration, but i normally take like 4 or 5 demos onto the court and try them out.....
Benchwarmer1
what other, than your current ,racquet fits you the best?
leftys_rock
it is the nSix-Two probably...i would like a little more pop on it though.....its an all around racquet.....following that, i would like the nProOpenX......it is a little heavier, but puts more pop on the serve and groundies......but it isnt the best all around racquet....
x.doublea
Have you ever tried the Radical Team or the Flexpoint Team?
leftys_rock
now, thats a bit too many racquets to try out..... ....ive basically tried every racquet in the store....
Benchwarmer1
PSALT what prince racquets should leftys try?
leftys_rock
i think he had a list of them earlier in this thread....

leftys, what prince racquets have you tried?
leftys_rock
the 03 blue and white.....the white was for my game, but i liked the blue.....
J-man
So are you saying you picked color over proformance??
leftys_rock
no, i felt the white was more suited to flat hitting while the blue accomodated better with my spins......
