TENNIS Magazine: Thanks for taking time out of your schedule to talk with us Vanessa. I bet you are simply ecstatic right now, repeating your magnificent season 1 feat by winning back-to-back Williams Series! Do you think you are at your superb best right now? Can anyone at all stop you?
Vanessa Child: Well I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I am very happy right now. The Williams Series are probably my favorite tournaments. The crowd, the competition, and just the general atmosphere is just great. I don't know if I'm at my best. I always think there are things I could do better and work on. I'm looking forward to the clay season and especially the French Open, which I want to win again. It's been a long time since I held that trophy...
TENNIS Magazine: "It's been a long time since I held that trophy", that sounds full of intent Vanessa. We all know of your friendly relationship with fellow player Not_Even_Amateur, perhaps only due to the fact that he is the only player to publicly support you in times of adversity, do you think that he will be a threat to your clay season and French Open bid? What about PSALT and Trictrina? Who do you actually think, aside from yourself, will have a great claycourt season?
Vanessa Child: Well things are always full of surprises. Yes I think Not_Even_Amateur is one of the most respectable guys on tour and he is very talented on the clay. Honestly, for the season, Tricatrina, who I'm sure has been practicing just for these few weeks, will do well. Maybe PSALT, Stevos, Stroganoff, or Avolt will win a title or two. As for the actual French Open N_E_A and J-man will be the toughest, and maybe if John can pull together some wins he will be a big threat. PSALT always brings it to the big events too.
TENNIS Magazine: Indeed he does, indeed he does. Well thanks once again Vanessa it has truly been a pleasure, good luck we hope you get to "hold that trophy"!
