Usually a very nice tournament, with a nice field. I'm still tentative about it though, I thought Sharapova would have pulled out.
But Myskina PSALT? Myskina?? _________________ www.freewebs.com/tenniswallpapers by myself and x.doublea

She should easily get to Sharapova, then with Sharapova's injury I either see her pulling out or I think Myskina has big enough strokes to take advantage of Sharapova's affected movement. _________________
I am just shocked to see Myskina even IN this event. I thought she said that she wouldn't be playing for the rest of the year because of foot problems. _________________ www.freewebs.com/tenniswallpapers by myself and x.doublea

I guess she revcovered quicker than expected. I would personally sit out the rest of the season if I were her if the foot is still fragile... _________________ "Satan is behind Illegal Immigration."- Don Larson, Utah County Republican Tennis Wallpapers, presented by leftys_rock and myself
There are some interesting match-ups at this tournament.
Amelie Mauresmo against Samantha Stosur in the 2nd round (I know Mauresmo won 6-0 6-0 earlier this year, but Stosur has improved since then). She could then face in-form Marion Bartoli or 2002 champion and home player Patty Schnyder in the QF. A QF match between Svetlana Kuznetsova and home player Martina Hingis, the 2000 champion. However, Kuznetsova has Jelena Jankovic in the 2nd round possibly, and Hingis has Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Anna Chakvetadze in her way.
The other half has Nicole Vaidisova v Tatiana Golovin, and a possible 2nd round match between Mary Pierce and Elena Dementieva. 2004 champion Alicia Molik faces Shahar Peer in the first round. If Molik wins, it will be a re-match of the 2004 final against Maria Sharapova.
There unfortunately isn't a "logical" pick for Zurich. Last one standing wins! Because it looks like Mauresmo might lose early, Sharapova might pull out or lose early, Kuznetsova might lose early, and you never know with Dementieva. And for PSALT's pick, you never know with Myskina either. _________________ www.freewebs.com/tenniswallpapers by myself and x.doublea

Wow, I knew Golovin could beat Vaidisova, but only losing 2 games!
