So far, Fantasy Tennis has been doing well. However, it is not really a "fantasy tennis" league, but more of a picking or prediction league. I was thinking of starting something completely different; something completely fiction, where members can become a player who plays on a mock tour, competing against other members over an entire mock season of tournaments. I would make the entire schedule up, but the points for tournaments would be the same as in real professional tennis. You would be able to train and improve the certain areas in your game of your choice, and matches would be computed by me using probability factors. This is not a graphical game, and you would not actually participate in any of your matches.

Here is the summary of ideas so far:

-Mock tennis career with a full season of tournaments.
-Ability to train, improving skills of your choice.
-Full rankings for the all participating members with exact round-point values (WTA points, for it's simplicity).

These are aspects that would add much realism to the game, but may not come through

*-Prize money for use in the game.
-Ability to buy equipment and/or training.
*Fame for players in the game.
-Interviews (???)
*Some computer players to make the tour larger and more realistic (so that there can be many different levels or tiers for tournaments).

Note: This would not replace the current picking game.

What are everyone's thoughts on this? Questions? Suggestions?

hmmm....this sounds fun if it is what i think it is.....so do u actually play a competerized character?? and win tournaments?? and for the league we have now, i think it would be nice if we had a ranking system like the WTA....like next year, we would have to defend the points and stuff.....

Yes, you "are" the player and you can train to improve your skills, while entering tournaments. You do not actually play your matches; they are computed.
As for our current picking league, there will be no points to defend next year, since it's completely different than real tennis. Points will be reset at the end of the year.

Once I hear from more people and we select our ideas, I have to set it all up. It should begin right after that.

It would basically be up to chance. You do not play your matches, I compute them based on your skill levels. Obviously someone with better skills is oing to have a better chance of winning, but it depends on the surface, your strengths and your opponents weaknesses, and chance.

Wow this sounds amazing. I think I get what its like, and it sounds like it would be a ton of fun. One question though, wouldn't it take a lot of time for you to do all of this?

Yes, you train your player. It says all of that above. Not graphically, but you would have a certain number of things your could practice each day or each week, and you would select what you wished to train.
