Unfortunately, I doubt that Roddick will get out of his group. Blake has a chance, but he is a tad inconsistant at times.

Yes it is a sad fact. Roddick has a very tough group. Nalbandian being the weakest player as of right now. Federer should come through this group.

I think Davydenko can come through in this group. Blake has been playing well so I think he also has a chance. Nadal his played well throughout the year. But lately he hasn't been producing the results. I also hear that he had a minor injury (he says he fine). That could maybe hinder some play we will have to see. Robredo hasn't had a bad indoor season. But I don't think he can get past Blake and Davydenko

Red group's definitely stronger. Roddick might be able to pull off a second place finish there, but it'll be tough. He wouldn't be able to tough it out against Nalbandian or Ljubicic. In the blue group, I like Blake's chances.

Great groups! I would say Blue group will be more competitive. I actually have NO idea who will come through. They all have equal chances IMO. Actually, Nadal is probably the least favourite to get through. I want everyone in Blue Group to do well as they are all some of my fav. men players. I think it will be Davydenko and Blake though.

Ljubicic and Nalbandian haven't been in the greatest form lately, so I think Roddick could sneak through if Ljubicic and Nalbandian put in below-par performances.

Is this an indoor event?

if so out of this order of play I'd pick the following to win
Federer...duh
Roddick...that serve indoors would be very scary to try and return...top player or not
Bryan Bros...who doesn't like these guys?
Damm & Paes

Bjorkman & Mirnyi
Knowels & Nestor
Nadal
Davydenko

indoor yes.

I agree with all of them besides Nadal-Blake. Blake has Nadal's number, if Nadal comes through he will be the second player, with a semi with Federer.

That would really be interesting... we would be able to see whether Nadal can actually keep up with Federer on all surfaces/conditions....

J-man, are those times eastern, or what, and if not could someone translate that into our times (maybe xdoublea Wink )

This is going to be exciting, Davydenko is in really great form right now, he played so well in Paris. I'm not sure about Nadal, but I just don't feel he will lose to Blake one more time, he has revenge.

Nalbandian-Federer will be cool, but I think Federer is far and beyond Nalbandians form right now.

it isn't. I recorded my first match today (Elena-Svet). it's worth it though. I will just avoid the scores if it means I don't have to stay up all night. Laughing
