London may host the Masters Cup after Shanghai. This would be great for me, I would definetely go! But, I don't think it is the right place for it. I agree with bringing it back to Europe, but not to London. The main interest in tennis in this country is during Wimbledon and a bit after during the summer. Tennis means nothing during the winter when Football has completely taken over. I don't think London is the right place for it. About them giving China a Masters event, I also disagree. When and what surface would it be on? The Masters series are already planned out according to the calendar, I don't see the point in changing them.

Bringing the Masters Cup to London would be a good move, in my opinion. However, when we they put a Masters Series event in China? They absolutely cannot substitute Indian Wells for it... it would totally disrupt the spring hard-court season in North America. I can't think of when it could be put... the only way would be Madrid, but Madrid's a fantastic event and should not be eliminated.

I don't know about London, the UK is soccer crazed, so I could see that hurting attendance and TV ratings.

the Masters events should stay where they are. why fix something that isn't broken? there is nothing wrong with the current events, why change, just to change?

The YEC wouldbe alright in London, but I just don't think it would be as exciting as it would be in a better tennis country like France or Germany, or even Spain or Italy.

I don't know at all when a Masters event would be put in China. Indian Wells-Miami should not be broken up, they are a key part to the season, Indian Wells is one of the best ones. Obviously not during the claycourt or hardcourt seasons. Madrid and Paris are in Europe because that is where the indoor season is. So, a Masters event in China would be out of place.

I totally agree, but if they were to force it, it would be during the indoor season, since there is a short Asian tour. But I think Madrid and Paris are fantastic, and they can't abolish either one.

I don't think England is the best place for the Tennis Master cup. With Soccer (football) going on the TV and attendance wouldn't be great. Not postive for the sport of tennis. Ther is so much competeion TV wise in England, then China where it is held now. It would be hard to market.

I like the idea of moving the YEC event around every few years. Being in London right before the Olympics is not a bad idea.

Bring it to Canada please.

Just kidding.
London sounded cool at first, but if they have to compete so much, it might not be the best idea. I think a place without a GS would be best, like Spain (like the wta)

In fact i think they should have a joint YEC (ATP and WTA)

They definitely would want to put it in a place where the market demand for tennis is HUGE. That's why they're considering London... huge tennis demand there.

Tennis is big in England during the grass season. In the fall, everyone's absorbed with football. Nothing else!

However, despite of all that, I think it would be good for England as preview to the Olympics.

But would Russia be great for tourists who arrive to watch the TMC? And they really should make a new building (not that thing they use for the KC) for it.

It wouldn't be in Russia. You know, Russia's sort of in the middle of nowhere, and people would prefer places which weren't so cold in the middle of December....

I think LA was a great, cool, attractive place. The WTA would've been fine to leave it there, but Madrid is a great idea too.
