Ok, here are the rules and instructions on how to play Dream Team Tennis. You are to pick 5 players from the ATP and 5 from the WTA (from the lists that will be provided), these players will work as a team to get you points in tournaments. You must pick wisely of course and therre is a budget of $25 million. You pick 5 ATP players for $25 Million and then 5 WTA players for another $25 Million...so the game are essentially SEPARATE, please notice this.
Send your picks (10 players in all...5 from each) in a PM to me (Not_Even_Amateur) entitled "Dream Team Tennis" picks...make sure they do not exceed the budget, I will be checking anyway. The game starts tomorrow (first day of Wimbledon) but you can join at anytime. A few other rules to abide by when selecting your players are:
You are only allowed to pick 2 players from one Country! But you can pick 2 from the same Country for the men and then ANOTHER two for the women...remember the game are pretty much separate.
You score in the following ways:
We are going with the Tennis Pool for how far you go in tournaments (see here: http://percy896tennis.myfreeforum.org/ftopic28.php) and you will score using that system.
Also bonus points are offered for a 6-0 set win (10 points) and a straight set win (5 points).
Please send your choices as quickly as possible, the lists will be put up soon, use them to pick your players and do not exceed the budget.
You also have 3 substitutes per week. You can PM me and substitues and you may use them AT ANY TIME in that week. PM me with "Dream Team Substitutes" and for example:
Roger Federer to be replaced with Rafael Nadal, or something like that. But you cannot exceed the Budget at ANY POINT. You can do two/three substitutes at once though.
