If the seeds hold as predicted there could be some good matches.

Some really interesting potential matches... Federer-Benneteau, Ferrero-Youzhny, Robredo-Safin, Gasquet-Canas, Gonzalez-Melzer, Berdych-Moya, Hewitt-Nieminen, and Nadal-Solderling... should be really interesting. I think Benneteau might give Federer some problems.

Nadal does not need to worry about the streak anymore... So less pressure on him... Federer has the pressure for the career GS...

Who do you think is going to win? Nadal for sure!

Roddick has some serious problems on clay... no matter what he does, he can't solve the problem. Perhaps its movement?

Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad
American men have seen plenty of lousy days at Roland Garros since Andre Agassi won the 1999 title, but the first Tuesday of 2007 is sure to go down in the annals as one of the worst. All nine US men entered in the draw went on court on Tuesday and only one remained whose match was suspended after the two spilt sets due to darkness.

The eight men out included third seed Andy Roddick, eighth seed James Blake, Mike Russell, Vince Spadea, Robert Kendrick, Sam Querrey, Amer Delic and Justin Gimelstob.

Americans flame: Roddick, Blake and six others all lose

Time for the coaches to wake up. There is absolutely no reason for Americans to be doing so poorly. They need to be taught to move on the surface and adapt their games. 'Boom-boom' tennis just doesn't work on clay.

Perhaps they should be coming in to the net more often... Andre did that in the 1999 final and won.

It's to bad for American tennis. Roddick was really getting pushed back in that match against Igor. His court postioning was horrible. Movement has something to do with it also.
