here's the topic for the two matches tonight and tommorow

is anyone else noticing how long Sharapova is taking between points? she walks back to the backboard, plays with her hair, plays with her strings, walks back to the baseline. she has always been slow but it's been horrible tonight.

I guess that's why she's winning. Rolling Eyes

It seems Golovin's playing solid though.

Golovin is playing well, she is angling a forehand to take Sharapova out of the court on Maria's forehand side than hitting the winner up the line. That's been very effective for her.

Yes, making Sharapova run is the best way to beat her.

Golovin is playing really well, she just broke Sharapova at love. I think her game matches up well with Sharapova. She creates angles very well which Sharapova hates, she hits hard (not a power player but not weak), moves well, and has good variety. She disguises her backhand dropshot incredibly well, and she moonballs some which gives Sharapova trouble.

Sharapova has defeated Golovin 7-6 7-6 to move into the semifinals. Next up: Roddick vs. Hewitt.

Tracy Austen was going after Sharapova, for good reason. Yuri tells Sharapova when to take a drink and when to take a bite of a banana, I'm serious. He holds up a cup and a banana and Sharapova does it. Tracy believes that qualifies as coaching, so do I, and she was also suprised at the micro-management there.

Yes, yes we all saw it Rolling Eyes
I admit it is kind of pointless, but really the commentating was pathetic. They didnt even talk about Golovins breaking back, how she fought to the tie-break, and then how Sharapova smashed her to pieces 7-0 in the tiebreak! Laughing Laughing
Thats how you do it Razz I love you Sharapova!

Now Roddick-Hewitt should be great, and really intense...

I don't have a problem with Tracy, I don't know who the other gut is though.

Keep loving Sharapova, Stevos, her time is short as she will be frustrated by and lose to Mauresmo!

Roddick's up 5-2. Roddick's winner: error ratio's already at +7, while Hewitt's at -2.

I LOVE the new and improved Roddick! He is serving great still, but hes keeping his shots in play, and being a lot smarter in his shots. I think he could make the final with this play.

Well, if Roddick wins this match, it's a straight path to the final. I doubt Youzny will give him any trouble.
