So I'm guessing if this passes he will have the Austrian flag next to his name and not the Russian flag during tournments?

He wants to become Austrian because he was not approved to become German!! Shocked

Apparently he is after the European citizenship. I read somewhere that the European passport is the most acceptable to travel around the world without the need of entry visa. Canadian is no 2 and Australian no 3.

Anyhow, this whole thing is funny. imagine if our states issued citizenships! ... if a moron failed to get a Virginia citizenship, he could go to Norrth Carolina, obtain their citizenship and come and live in Virginia legally!!! Shocked ...because Europeans can live and work in any of the 25 countries of EU... so Davidenlo can actually move to Germany after he gets the Austrian citizenship...

Quite frankly, Germany was right to reject him. Absolutely no reason to let someone become German under the reasoning of 'having more convenient travelling and practising'.

I agree with the Germans, but since they are part of the EU their decision does not mean anything... anyhow, it is kind of weird that one can choose to apply for citizenship in a country and then go by a house there.... kind of like choosing a vacation destinaton
