Who do you think will win?

It's on indoor clay (USA worst surface) but Roddick and Blake are having good couple of weeks. But so has the Russian team. It's Davydenko's best surface. I think this is where the road stops for us. The power games of both of are top players will be neturalized

Yeah, I am afraid that we won't be able to make the finals. Think about it: Roddick and Blake on indoor clay!

Very interesting... they have selected the moody Safin instead of Davydenko. As talented as Safin is, this might actually helpt he US.

I think they're just worried that Davydenko's a bit tired at the moment.

Blake and Roddick both lost, putting Russia at a 2-0 lead.

TTC is showing Argentina-Australia. Argentina leads 1-0, Nalbandian pounded Phillipouses (sp?). It is looking like a Argentina-Russia final. Russia will need to pick a fast court if they have any chance to win that, Argentina will win if it is on clay. Even on hardcourts I would give Argentina a 50-50 chance, Nalbandian is capable of beating anyone besides an in-form Safin, and Chela is a horrible hardcourter. He could get an upset, on a fast surface I think it would come down to the doubles.

I am seeing first hand how much the Argentines hate Hewitt. I thought it was just dislike, no, it is loathing. They jeer Hewitt for his faults, errors, everything. I don't like Hewitt either, and I also understand this is Davis Cup, but come on. Can't even the smallest inkling of respect be shown to him?

Is Hewitt responding to this sort of behaviour?

USA vs. Russia... I think it'll take a miracle for the US to win it. The Bryan Brothers should win, but I don't think Blake and Roddick can come back and win their rubbers....

Not like I would have expected. He is trying to get the crowd out of it. As far as I have seen, he hasn't thrown in any "special" come ons to rub things in tha face of the crowd.

Roddick on clay isn;t good at all. It wasn't a great match. But Safin got a good boost from the surface. Blake was errors at some of the worst times.

I guess that was expected, but now Blake and Roddick will really need to do the impossible (for them). I don't think they can pull it out though. Roddick can't do the tactics he did (well, I read that he was trying to serve and volley. Confused Against Safin on clay?)

Yes he did try to to serve and volley because Safin stood so far back on Roddick first and second serve. Roddick did a few times and was sucessful but Safin was to much
