Here are the official team nominations:

Russia

Nikolay Davydenko
Dmitry Tursunov
Mikhail Youzhny
Marat Safin

Argentina

David Nalbandian
Jose Acasuso
Agustin Calleri
Juan-Ignacio Chela

btw, here is an interesting article on that classic Davis Cup final between France and Sweden in 1996: http://www.daviscup.com/news/newsarticle.asp?id=13932

Argentina. I think Nalbandian will go 2-0, and one of the other Argentinian single players will grab a match win.

I'd have to pick Russia. Nalbandian is the only player who can play on the indoor surface with sucess. While Russia has a team that play's it's best on the indoor surfaces.

Yes, Safin especially, can be a huge danger on indoor surfaces (unless they play Tursunov instead of him).

Russia, Davydenko's been very consistent Safin will be a threat if he plays, all of their players, like J-man said, play extremely well on carpet while the Argentines are mostly clay courters

1-1 after the first day of play.

Davydenko struck first, with a 6-1 6-2 5-7 6-4 win over Chela. Then Nalbandian leveled it, taking out Safin 6-4 6-4 6-4.

That is a convincing win for Davydenko, who was 0-5 in H2H against Chela.

Look like good matches. To bad I don't have TTC. And I thought that Davydenko was 0-6 against Chela

I don't really care that much about Davis Cup, but go Russia.

Davydenko is going to win it for them.
