i picked davenport. i didn't pick the willams sisters because they make to many errors. and i don't watch enough of demntevia matches to really get a look at her backhand

Oh venus has an extremely great backhand when it's on. All of these players have great backhands, but venus has the most penetrating one i've seen. Maybe at the moment its someone else, but if she's playing well I'd have to go with venus.

Well Davenport's backhand is probably the most consistent.
I put Dementieva there because her cross-court backhand is amazing. Her backhand makes up for her poor serve.

Serena and Venus have great backhands which they are famous for, but I wanted to get an idea of which one is better. I notice that Serena has a flatter hit, where Venus gets more height on the ball.

I think that goes for everything about the williams sisters' games at the moment. Playing well though, I doubt many people would siagree that they have the best strokes in women's tennis.

In their good days (2000 - 2003) they had the best strokes, serve, athletism etc. When they are playing well, they are almost unbeatable. That hasent been the case in the last years.

Davenport is up there aswell . She hits the ball in a different way to Serena and Venus. Davenport hits with less raw power but with much more accuracy . Davenport is a powerful player, but uses accuracy and precision more than just power.
